



Approximately
100 horses are kept on 150 acres of immaculate pipe fenced
pastures and paddocks, and there are 3 ponds on the beautiful,
oak-covered property.
Fossil Gate is the home to Mr Yella Fella, this 2-time AQHA World Champion Halter Stallion, 2-time PHBA World Champion , AQHA Superior Halter Horse with 173.5 points, Congress Champion Amateur Aged Stallion, was the 2003 PHBA #3 Leading sire of Open Halter Winners. He is also a multiple AQHA and PHBA World Champion Sire. In 2004, he was AQHA #1 Halter Class Winners - Open, AQHA #1 Halter Class Winners
- Amateur, AQHA #1 Point Earning Halter Horses - Open, AQHA #1 Point Earning Halter Horses - Amateur, and #6 PHBA 2004 Leading Sire. Fossil Gate is also the home to
Sock Broker,
one of the top breeding stallions in the Paint Horse
industry. Broker
was the 1997, 1998 & 1999 APHA Leading Sire of Point
Earners. In 2000, he was the only stallion to be
on both the Leading Sires Lists (Halter & Performance).
In 2001, 2002 and 2003, he was 2nd on the Halter Leading
Sires List. Fossil Gate Farms is also home to Im
Tee Totally Cool, the AQHA 1998 World Champion Weanling
Stallion, and the 1999 World Champion Yearling Stallion. Cool's
foals are hitting the show arenas now. In fact, Cool
has
sired 7 World Champions and 6 Reserve World Champions
between the APHA and Palomino, AQHA World Shows during
the past 3 years!! Cool also was the leading sire at
the prestigious Go
For The Gold Futurity!! The foals are outstanding
and breathtaking! Fossil Gate Farms is also home to Image of Kid, AQHA World Champion and 2x Reserve World Champion, AQHA Congress Champion as well as being a World and Congress Champion Sire and top five of the all time leading sires list and 2006 #1 Sire in percentage of Halter Class Winners to foals and 2006 #1 in percentage of point earners to foals. Fossil Gate Farms is also home to APHA Stallion Good Decision, a young up and coming Superior Halter Stallion of which we have great expectations. Fossil Gate Farms will be standing our home bred AQHA Buckskin stallion FG A Tru Fella for the 2008 breeding season, he is the 2006 Reichert Celebration $50,000 Champion and the 2007 Bayer Select Reserve World Champion as well as the 2007 ABRA Reserve World Champion. In addition, Fossil Gate Farms
is home to the all-time leading halter horse of
the Paint
breed, Miss Precedence.

60 World, National and Reserve World Champions, and

#1 Honor Roll horses in Halter, as well as numerous German
and European champions, the Gordons bring this talent
and many years of experience, combining the latest
techniques
and facilities to the FGF breeding program.

Our
laboratory is state of the art, with all of the necessary
equipment to ship semen and perform embryo transfers.
Veterinarians and staff are on call 24 hours a day. The
mare motel can host up to 30 mares and their foals
in
a safe and clean atmosphere. There are several 16'
by 24' foaling stalls. All of this is complemented
by the latest in modern breeding facilities.
Fossil Gate Farms
hosts buyers and breeders from the United States, Europe,
Central and South America. Visitors find the show
barn and mare motel neat, comfortable and busy. Fossil
Gate Farms emphasizes a hands-on approach to showing and
selling show quality Paints and Quarter Horses, and there
is always an excellent selection of horses for sale.
Linda Gordon grew up in
Texas, and has been involved with horses in some form
or fashion all of her life. As a child, she worked
cattle with her father and grandfather. She has been
active in the Texas Paint Horse Club for 26 years and
has served as Amateur Club President, Membership Chairman,
Points Keeper, Treasurer, President, Corresponding Secretary,
and as Director. Linda recently took the reins for
the 2nd time as TPHC President.

Linda
has been an APHA National Director for many years, serving
on the Amateur Committee, Chairperson of the World Show
Committee, Vice Chairman of the Registration Committee,
and in addition, served on the National Nominating Committee.
She currently is serving her 3rd year as Chairman of the
Registration Committee. Linda has served on the
TSCC Board of Directors for 12 years, and served as President
for four years. She has also served as Secretary and Vice
Chairman for Zone 4. Linda is currently serving as Chairman
for Zone 4.

Gary
Gordon was raised on a cattle and horse ranch in Canada,
and holds judging cards in 5 different associations, including
APHA. Gary has been a Director of the Ontario Quarter
Horse Association, Director of the Ontario Paint Horse
Association, Director of the Ontario Appaloosa Horse Association,
and Director for Quarterama, Canada's largest quarter
horse show. Gary is also an APHA National Director. He
has served on the APHA Breed Improvement Committee, Show
and Contest Committee and has recently been appointed
to the APHA's Judges Committee.
